ALOCASIA

I don't grow many Alocasias, though I would love to. The problem is one of temperature. Many of them are totally tropical! A few will tolerate low winter temperatures if dry and dormant.

Year after year I almost kill Alocasia reginula 'Black Velvet'. Not quite so almost with Alocasia x amazonica. One of these days I will work out how to run a tropical house on wind power, and there will be no stopping me.
