Zygopetalum has become a popular commercial orchid and it seemed worth testing to see if it would tolerate either the greenhouse or the conservatory through the winter. The name simply records the fact that it had a bluish labellum and came (rather cheaply) from Wisley. It will have a proper grex name somewhere but by the time the plants hit the shelves these things have become untraceable. As to cold tolerance, it doesn't have any! |
