Veltheimia bracteata Evergreen Form

I have just bought a seedling that describes itself as an evergreen form. Sounds interesting but beyond that it is a mystery.
With me it has been evergreen but I have heard of other seedlings that have become deciduous in summer. A lot may depend on conditions. My plant has much darker pink flowers than my other clone of Veltheimia bracteata.

The Pacific Bulb Society say:

"Veltheimia bracteata, from the eastern part of South Africa, is almost evergreen, but benefits from reduced watering in the summer and is best grown in light shade. It flowers in the spring."
