Avery fasmous variety with triple spurred flowers. The original clone is still very expensive but seedlings are now being distributed.
Easrly seedlings did not always show three spurs in the flowers but it is said that this flaw has now been eliminated and plants are breeding true.
(I hope so, mine has yet to flower). Elite Orchids say: "Manjyushage means ‘Spider Lily’ and in my opinion is one of the best with its unique flower. With three long nectary spurs per flower, the inflorescence resembles an exploding firecracker – only it smells amazing! In addition, the plant itself is quite elegant with long princess leaves in a slightly peacock formation." |
