The smallest dwarf Vanda falcata imaginable. It is so cute that I couldn't resxist it although it is a problem to grow - poor eyesight and finding a suitable growing medium.
A work in progress. The Hooray Plants blogspot said in 2012: "'Kuroshinju' is an ultra miniature Neofinetia form, each "fan," is only going to get 1'' or 2.54 cm large. Although Neos are considered monopodial, they do have this sympodial growth habit of making more growths and grow from all the points at the top of each fan. The name 'Kuroshinju' I've seen spelled a variety of ways, but translates in English to "Black Pearl." " High Fukiran blogspot said in 2015: "'Kuroshinju' or "Black Pearl" is the name of this one of the smallest of FUUKIRAN discovered in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. With its short succulent leaves it belongs to a mameba or bean-leaf group. Although, it might be among one of the most amusing FUUKIRAN for its size and shape, 'Kuroshinju' produces showy flowers, that are smaller than normal, fleshy and upright oriented, a miniature all around!" |
