A white flowered form with variably variegated leaves. Mine is only showing slight signs of variegation
but I hope more will appear as it matures. The greater the variegation, the more desirable the plant.
It is said that seedlings of the cultivar can also be variegated. It should have some purple pigment in the centre of the plant
and in that respect my plant conforms.
Elite Orchids say:
"Fugaku is a fantastic variegated variety with different striping from leaf to leaf which makes every plant an individual work of art!
Fugaku has the ‘Sanfu’ multi-stripe pattern in its leaves. It also is one of the few striped varieties that can breed its variegation onto the next generation.
This variety also has a wide range in leaf color and thickness."
