This came to me as Tulbaghia leucantha. Thanks to Liz Powney and the National Collection at Prime Perennials
for setting it straight. Plants of the World online says: "The native range of this species is E. Cape Prov. to KwaZulu-Natal. It is a bulbous geophyte and grows primarily in the subtropical biome." The Pacific Bulb Society says: "Tulbaghia montana Vosa is a high mountain species found in the Drakensberg. The perianth segments are gray edged with white and the corona is orange. Height: 18 cm." |
