A Chinese species, that much is certain. In recent years it has been reclassified as Rohdea chinensis and it 2012
it was suggested that plants in cultivation might actually be Rohdea fargesii. The genus Rohdea is currently the
subject of much re-evaluation and eventually the situation will become clearer.
