Tricyrtis 'Shimone'



A Japanese hybrid introduced about a decade ago. Large white flowers spotted with purple.

Writing about the RHS Great Autumn Show in 1992, Alan Toogood says:

"Broadleigh also showed some promising new tricyrtis (toad lilies) from Japan - ... - T. 'Shimone'. dark red. These rhizomatous perennials, with star-shaped spotted flowers, relish moisture retentive humus-rich soil, or partial shade in warm areas."
