Tricyrtis 'Lemon Twist'

Archive entry 21.09.08

A hybrid between T.flava and T.ohsumiensis introduced by Darrell Probst. Very vigorous with pale yellow flowers speckled with red.

I got it from Plant Delights Nursery and their catalogue says:

"Tricyrtis 'Lemon Twist' is a 2006 Darrell Probst introduction of a cross between two dwarf Japanese yellow-flowered toad lily species, Tricyrtis flava and Tricyrtis ohsumiensis. The result is a vigorous hybrid with large, light green, speckled leaves that form a robust 1' tall x 1' wide clump. The clumps are topped, starting in early October, with large, light yellow flowers. In form, it is taller than Tricyrtis 'Moonlight Treasure'."
