T.lasiocarpa is very like T.formosana, but is often marked with blue-purple instead of the pink-purple of the more familiar species.
This form was collected by Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones in the mountains of central Taiwan in 1999. Described as growing in the shade on bare vertical cliffs,
I haven't attempted to replicate the habitat in the garden!
