Tricyrtis lasiocarpa

T.lasiocarpa is very like T.formosana, but is often marked with blue-purple instead of the pink-purple of the more familiar species. This form was collected by Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones in the mountains of central Taiwan in 1999 (BSWJ.7013). Described as growing in the shade on bare vertical cliffs, I haven't attempted to replicate the habitat in the garden.
I got it from Barracott Plants but it is originally a collection from Crug Farm Plants.

Crug Farm Plants said:

"From our '99 collection at 1590m, in the earthquake torn Central Mountains of Taiwan. This rare species was growing on bare shady vertical cliffs. Bearing good-sized terminal funnel-shaped flowers, spotted with purple and with pink-blue zoning, while the large stem-clasping ovate leaves were lightly spotted. Height 1m spread 75cm, sun or shade and best in a drained soil."
