A beautufully coloured medium sized cultivar raised by Sue Thomas in the UK and introduced in 2001. I got it from Trecanna nursery. Volkmar Schara is quoted on Sempervivum List: "The reddish rosettes have a very special luminosity, especially in spring. It is a vigorous plant that sprouts willingly. " Craigiehall Nursery say: "Dark, brownish-red in spring becomes lighter in summer with shades of tan, the leaves having red tips and edges. A lovely cultivar but another that doesn't produce as many offsets as we would like - beauty is rare!" |
