A selection made by the USDA as part of their trials for fibre production. I got mine from Al Laius but it can be traced back to Bob Smoleys Gardenworld in the USA.
The Gardenworld catalogue for 2000 says: "Strap leaves with soft crossbanding. Stays short to about 18 inches." This clone has been identified speculatively as S. grandicuspis (online chat) which Chahinian includes within S. zeylanica. |
