A small growing species from Chile, where it is becoming rare. I am promised clusters of silver rosettes
that occasionally produce spikes of deep violet-blue flowers. At present I have a single
rosette growing by the side of the path in the Agave house. It will savage the occasional leg
but it is far from being the most dangerous vegetable in the place.
