Pteris actinopteroides

It makes you laugh, doesn't it. Just struggling to get its head above the rim of the pot and already it has a name to fight with.(I can't identify the moss, but I'll bet it has a stinker too!)
I got it as a scrap of rhizome from China in early 2006. It produced a single small frond but then it died.

Plants of the World Online says:

"The native range of this species is Assam (Meghalaya) to Central & S. China. It is a lithophyte and grows primarily in the temperate biome."
