Primula allionii 'Maris Tabard'

A compact cultivar that I bought from Tale Valley Nursery. Their label says:

"P. allionii x P. marginata hybrid with neat lilac thrum eyed flowers in March. Best in a cool greenhouse with good ventilation where it can be protected from winter wet."

Writing in the Journal of the Alpine Garden Society, David Philbey says:

"(h/h) [?]. Small pale violet flowers, broad petals, pale cream thrum eyed, delightfully speckled with farina. Beautiful leaves with golden edges. Easy, mid-season, very floriferous, spectacular."
