Pinguicula moranensis Caudata
Summer 1979
A splendid Mexican species, actually a form of Pinguicula moranensis. I got it from Adrian Slack
in 1977. Expected to need a winter minimum of about 10 degrees C to prosper, and will tolerate slightly
drier conditions during the winter, when it is more or less dormant.
This clone was said to be the one grown by Victorian orchid growers to control whitefly, rather than a
more recent introduction from Mexico.

During this winter temperatures in the greenhouse dropped to -5degC. One of my plants died, the other survived without damage.
