Phlebodium aureum 'RAADPHLE01' DAVANA

18th August 2022

A wonderful new fern with strongly lobed and undulating leaves. Discovered by Kelly Raadschelders as a whole plant in a cultivated crop ofP. aureum 'Blue Star' in De Kwakel, the Netherlands. First found in 2015, it was rapidly micropropagated and distributed.
Phlebodium aureum 'Blue Star' has recently been shown to be a cultivar of P. pseudaureum and I assume that this plant is also, however the distinction is based on the distribution of spore massses on the underside of the leaves and I haven't seen them formed on this cultivar yet.
