Persicaria virginiana filiformis

I was told that this is the white flowered form but I have had it since 2014 and it has yet to flower. I have also been told that it can seed invasively
so the absence of flowers is welcome, but a mixed blessing. Without flowers, what is the point? I am considering the issue.
