Pelargonium australe

Archive entry 17.12.17

I have two forms of the species, this pink one, and this white one. The species is native and widespread in Australia in a band along the southern coast, but is not found in the Northern Territories. It grows on sand dunes and rocky outcropsin semi-arid areas. It has been cold tolerant here if it is dry in the winter. There is a white flowered form that is smaller in all its parts available in the UK that originated in Tasmania (and which may be my white flowered plant).
