I have noticed for a couple of years that the collection here has very few pure red flowered cultivars. There are a lot that stand firmly in the pink
and then lean out perilously in the hope of being mistaken for red - they fail. There are at least as many that are unequivocally orange.
I accept that different people have different ideas of red, but I rarely find Nerine convincing.
I bought this one in flower this year because I was impressed by the colour.
