Nerine 'Gaby Deslys'

An old cultivar of uncertain origin, named after the singer Marie-Elise-Gabrielle Caire who performed under the name Gaby Deslys (1881-1920).
Chapman sent it to the RHS trial from 1925-8. The RHS Dictionary of Plants (1969) says:
"Mid red; plant in trial described as rich rosy-carmine; deep cerise."
