The story of the pink cupped daffodils started with N. 'Mrs R.O.Backhouse' , named in 1923. I haven't
grown it for a few years (oops - unfortunately I mean decades) but it is back on the list for historical interest.
Since 1923 breeders have improved them and they are now much more clearly pink.
This one is making a big commercial impact and because I like oddities, it has a small place here. The urge to oddity
hasn't yet carried me as far as split corona daffodils but it will eventually. I have already noted the names of a couple
that impressed me.
