A very tidy suckering Chinese shrub. Some selections colour well in the autumn. Mine is a seedling that flowers well
but doesn't really colour. It is in the shade of the house, which doesn't help matters.
I planted it when I moved into this house. The Chinese believe that if you plant a Sacred Bamboo by your door
and tell it your nightmares, then they won't come true. I tell it most of mine, and it seems to be working.
