The Hyacinthaceae in South Africa are an interesting group. This member of the family is now treated as a Lachenalia
even though it looks more like a Scilla. I wasn't sure if it would be hardy in the greenhouse, and the only way to find out...
At first sight this winter was not the best to try delicate things for hardiness, but in this case it sailed through without damage
so I don't think I need to worry.
