Kniphofia hirsuta 'Fire Dance'

I saw this in a nursery and couldn't resist a hairy leaved Poker. I don't know what to expect, but 'Fire Dance'
suggests it isn't subtle.

This is contemporary dance rather than ballet, but satisfyingly cheerful. Found in the Drakensburg
up to 2900m it has a reputation for hardiness in cultivation. 'Fire Dance' is a seed strain
developed by Jelitto in Germany with bright flowers. As with contemporary dance, sometimes the species
is 'interesting'.
