Kniphofia caulescens

Kniphofia caulescens is a spectacular 'poker' with broad blue-grey leaves on large rosettes.
It comes from Lesotho in South Africa where it grows in marshes and wet gullies. I hoped that its tolerance of damp
would mean it adapted well to this garden. Perhaps it would, this is not the real thing which should
have stout spikes of yellow and orange flowers.
