Impatiens tuberosa

Cheerfully pink, I never managed to find anything tuberous about it, and during last winter it expired.
Since it expired, I have discovered that the tubers are only produced on plants grown from seed, which explains why my plant, rooted from a cutting, failed to produce one. I wish I had taken
more care to collect seed now.
