Helleborus x ballardiae 'Candy Love'

Helleborus x ballardiae is the hybrid between H.niger and H.lividus. It is not a common hybrid but at it's best
it is a sturdy small growing plant with marbled leaves.
This is rather large with rather green leaves and there is a suggestion that this is actually a selection of H. x ericsmithii
(H.niger x H.x sternii). Whatever the final conclusion, it is a a strong and floriferous hybrid. The flowers open white
and then develop pinkish beige colours. The flowers remain attractive on the plant as they age, long after the stamens have fallen.
