Heloniopsis orientalis breviscapa

A high altitude form of the species from the mountains of southern Japan. This clone is darker pink than is typical (it is usually pale pink or white)
but the short flower scapes are characteristic of the mountain forms.
I have never tried any of the species in the ground - they do so well in pots it seems pointless.

This plant seems to have longer perianth segments and came from Crug Farm Plants, their collection number BSWJ.5873.
