One of the first seedlings to be released from recent breeding work, the red colour is much more striking than the cool pale colours of the typical form.
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be anywhere near as vigorous. At the moment this is still being listed as a form of Gladiolus papilio but
I think that will change!

Clearly a hybrid, a friend has recently raised some seedlings from it and the variety of colours has been remarkable.
