Ficaria verna 'Holly Green'

26th March 2005

A distinctive plant with leaves like the crimped margins of a pasty.

Found in the wild by R.Hoskins in 1992. The leaf shape is inherited by its seedlings. New leaf colours have already been introduced, and no doubt new flower colours will follow.

I have a similar seedling from the side of a bank locally, but with less attractive foliage.
