A large flowered "iris" from South Africa. I was sent a seedling by a friend a couple of years ago and it has grown slowly in a pot.
I am sure it would have grown faster if I kept it moister and wasn't quite so fussy about it in winter (but it is precious to me
which is almost invariably fatal).

I had to plant it outside to give it enough light to flower, now I am hoping that there
will be seed in the pod as an insurance against winter loss.
