Grown from seed in 2005 it has produced large flared flowers with delicate nectar guides on the
petals.

In the wild it grows in grassland on the slopes of the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa. In cultivation it is reasonably hardy
but recently seed has been collected from the highest populations in the search for plants that are reasonably hardier.
