Cypripedium Gabriela 'Kentucky Maxi'

A plant I bought two years ago, and astonishingly it isn't dead (yet). I haven't mastered the growing of Cypripedium
and it is financially expedient to limit the number I experiment on.
'Kentucky Maxi' is a vigorous selection of the Gabriella grex (C. fasciolatum x kentuckiense) that has been micropropagated to meet
the modern demand. I planted it in a large tub underneath a Magnolia and I have ignored it, other than an occasional watering
when it was exceedingly dry. The first one I have ever flowered on my own account (rather than buying one in bud), and I had to fight the
slugs off with a big stick to keep it safe.
