Crinum moorei

8th April 2007

A species from the eastern Cape of South Africa. The large, pale flowers are flushed with pink. All of the Crinums do best with a good root run, and get a bit sulky when confined to pots. Obtained originally as 'Ellen Bosanquet', which should have deep reddish-pink flowers. Its natural distribution covers the eastern coastal forests of the Cape in South Africa as far as KwaZulu-Natal.
