A genus closely allied to Morus and even called the Paper Mulberry (the fibrous bark was used in Japan to produce a form
of paper). My garden should be warm enough for it in winter, but it would probably prefer more summer heat than I can manage.
I am looking for a sunny but sheltered spot (the wood is quite brittle and would be damaged by the wind).
