Asarum minamitanianum

Asarum minamitanianum is a Japanese species that has been cultivated and selected in its native country. I have found it difficult to grow, but I think I am keeping it too moist. Japanese growers use a compost of small pumice pieces. There is also a suggestion that it should be kept well away from frost. Silver leaved, variegated and patterned leaved forms have been selected.
