Aruncus 'Horatio'

There are a few new hybrid Aruncus appearing. This one is smaller than A.dioicus with finer foliage
and some red tints. I thought it was worth a try but I haven't got as far as planting it out yet - the picture
was taken the day after I bought it!

It has been vigorous in the border, smaller than A. dioicus and less prone to flop, which may or may not be a good thing. A hybrid between
A. dioicus and A. aethusifolius raised by Ernst Pagels in Germany and released in 2005.
