The double flowered form of A.ranunculoides is commoner in cultivation than the single form. If I sound a little unenthusiastic, I bought it in 1981 (for 85p)
and it is probably just too familiar. The same thing as 'Flore Plena' and 'Semi-plena'.

The little golden flowers are not quite tidy enough to appeal to my obsessive side, and not quite shaggy enough to appeal to the anarchist in me, so to be perfectly
honest, I prefer the single form.
