Anemone nemorosa 'Blue Eyes'

A very erratic double white. Sometimes the blue eye is present, sometimes (usually early in the season) it is missing.
Very vigorous, it also produces seed in some years, but I have yet to get any to germinate.

I have been reviewing my pictures aver the last few years, and it seems that the earlier flowers tend to have stamens, and the later flowers tend not to have them.
The flowers that have stamens have pale bases to the tepals, the flowers without stamens have blue tepal bases.
