Agapanthus 'Purple Cloud'

A deep purple flowered hybrid raised from A. inapertus by Hugh Redgrove in New Zealand. The hanging flowers
are reminiscent of the parent but they flare at the mouth showing the presence of another species. A. praecox ssp. orientalis
has been suggested but as far as I know this is speculation.
