Acer palmatum 'Kaba'

As a small plant, this had a rather droopy appearance, and I thought that it would end up weeping gently, but it has been vigorous, producing straight narrow branches at bouncy optimistic angles.

The sort of mellow autumn orange that would be completely satisfying it the genus weren't capable of so much more.
