Sarracenia flava var rubricorpora F-89-MK
9th June 2007
North Carolina.
A spectacular plant, photographed here at the National Collection at Shropshire Sarracenias.
Don Schnell, who named the variety originally, points out that S.f. var rubricorpora has a distribution limited to the Florida panhandle,
so this might be better referred to S.f.var atropurpurea. It has a very red lid with only a small patch of green remaining at the tip of the lid.
