Found by Martin Cragg-Barber at Sheldon in 1992, he describes it as "mostly purple leaf with silver
freckles". For me, the new leaves are mostly green with a ring of silver marks around the outside.
In the centre of the leaf is a dark mark of tiny black spots that look as though they were applied with an air-brush.
The dark mark spreads through the season until it almost covers the leaf blade.
