A form with dark foliage and rather dull small flowers from China, selected in the USA. Tall evergreen stems and foliage. It isn't going to be a big surprise if someone comes along and
separates the tall leathery evergreen species with small dull flowers from the shorter deciduous forms with large red flowers, and coins a new name.

I had every intention of saving the seed from these berries, to see if the seedlings would be dark leaved as well, and then one morning they were gone,
which I am guessing was a hungry blackbird.
