Habenaria radiata

These poor little orchids are still available from the dry bulb merchants. Most of them are doomed to death by dessication. They need seriously boggy conditions - my best plants have always been grown in sphagnum moss, but even then it seems to be short lived. I keep hoping that I will get conditions just right one day, and it will increase year on year. If I had been wearing my thinking head, I would have cut the flower off of this one while it established, but I wasn't thinking, and now it is dead!
