Billbergia 'Santa Barbara Sport'
This strange yellow leaved form sports from time to time from 'Santa Barbara'. It always looks as though
it has been bleached in the sun, or some strange algal growth has crawled over it in a suffocating sort
of way as a prelude to world domination. The pink flowers are really pink, a colour
combination that is ugly enough to be wonderful. Fortunately, the flowers don't last long enough to be
tiresome.'Santa Barbara Sport' is a hopeless name, but I am sure it must have ocurred in many other places, and has been given a decent name somewhere - I just haven't found it yet!
