Begonia sizemorrae

A species from Vietnam, collected near to Hanoi. I have been surprised by how well the leaves have stood up to the weather. Last year I did no more than protect it from frost, and it remained in leaf throughout winter without any of the rotting patches that affect so many of the foliage species.
